General Assistance Program

Program Overview
VGU’s General Assistance Program is designed to address a wide range of challenges
veterans face after service. Examples of eligible support include, but are not limited to:
- Medical, dental, or mental health care expenses not covered by insurance
- Vehicle repair or transportation costs for employment or medical appointments
- Childcare support during job training or relocation
- Home repairs, accessibility modifications, or essential furnishings
- Work-related equipment, uniforms, or licensing fees
- Funeral or memorial support for veterans
